About Amalfi

Since its opening in 1943 Amalfi Glasgow, formerly known as the Lido Café, has been a favourite evening out for couples, friends and family. Amalfi is inspired by the rustic cuisine of the Italian Amalfi coast's distinct cuisine. Our family run trattoria with its rich history in the centre of Glasgow is an ideal place to stop by after shopping, a night in town or simply to catch a sumptuous meal. Our chef’s lovingly produced Italian cuisine blends our passion for Italian food. With loyal and satisfied customers since 1943 Amalfi has stood the test of time and delighted customers.

Our menu has been selected by our chef with fresh local and Italian produce at its heart and features a diverse selection of traditional Italian dishes. We are open all through the day for lunch and dinner or just pop in anytime for our special Italian coffee or drinks.

We truly make diners feel comfortable and welcome. Our food is delicious, and the owner is greeting old friends and making new ones. Whatever the occasion Amalfi's staff team is dedicated to making each visit a truly memorable one.

We are open 11:30 am to late night Monday through Sunday.

We accept Cash, Visa and Mastercard.

Stars from home and across the Atlantic regularly dined at the Amalfi Glasgow, formerly known as the Lido Cafe when appearing at the famous Glasgow Empire Theatre just across the street. The delicious aroma of fine Italian cooking attracted performers such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bette Davis, Cary Grant, Errol Flynn and Ingrid Bergman to enjoy a meal in the stylish restaurant.

Popular too with Glaswegians since its opening in 1943, the Amalfi was a favourite evening out for courting couples. One such couple tied the knot after many fun-filled evenings at the Lido and have continued to visit us throughout the years of their very happy marriage.
